Reliance Controls® 125 Amp Transfer Panel

This Reliance 6-circuit automatic transmission kit delivered everything it promised. It was, as they say, a STUPID EASY setup. All I added was 15 feet of waterproof duct, two waterproof belts, and 15 feet of 10 AGW in red, black, and white. Due to my personal needs, all but one of the included General Electric circuit breakers had to be replaced. I have a 120 volt water pump, so I installed a 20 amp double-pole circuit (both sides are internally connected, meaning if one side works, the other will too). Now I have five circuits for 20 amps and one for 15 amps. I would recommend that even though the wires are labeled, connect the corresponding red and black wires before starting work. Also, use a small piece of masking tape and mark the cracks in the junction box where you will want to wire. When you remove the panel cover, the circuit numbers will be on the floor. If you're moving from 15 amp to 20 amp outlets, as I did, be sure to limit what you're plugging in to the capacity of your alternator. As you can see in my picture, one of mine is a GFIC circuit breaker. It powers all my lights and faucets in the bathroom. I know it's a lot, but it was installed before LED lights, so... Combine what you have with what you want to run when the power goes out. Load balancing. Don't worry, the instructions tell you how to do it.

The switch came ahead of time. Installation was very easy for anyone familiar with a switch box and general home wiring. The box looks well designed and is very easy to use. I am very happy with this purchase. In fact, I bought a second switch and installed it at my daughter's house so I could take my generator to her house if she was out for an extended period of time. I wish I had it last year when it had a pipe burst due to freezing during a power outage. Six circuits are enough for emergencies... I chose one circuit for each stove, one for the refrigerator, one for the kitchen/living room lighting, one for the master bedroom lighting and the last one for the second bedroom lighting.

This transfer switch is a great answer for me so I can use my 8KW generator during power outages. I used to have to run separate wires from my generator to power a lamp, TV, and maybe a fan. Now all I have to do is plug my generator into an outlet outside my house and all my ceiling fans, ceiling lights in all rooms, my computer, kitchen outlets and my microwave will run with 6 switches from main to emergency. this board is in my laundry room. Easy installation. I just wish it came with a 20ft power cord instead of a 10ft so I can leave the generator in my garage with the door open if it rains during a power outage. I wish I had done this a long time ago. I can't run my air conditioner with this generator, but if it's winter and I need heat I can turn on my gas fireplace.

I had already purchased this item for my home, so I felt it was necessary for camping. It was easy to install and the way it works protects operators from acid load lines while they are on the job. The value is at least 50% of the other ads I've seen. up to 6 chains will do what you need.

Reliance Controls Corporation 31406crk 30 Amp 6 Circuit Pro/tran Transfer Switch Kit For Generators (7500 Watts),gray

It's relatively easy to install and works great. Called their tech support to check how the afci maps work with the system and got a great and detailed explanation. If you have received this, please read the manual carefully and plan your installation process to make it smooth and perfect the first time.
