The advantage of the Glock 19X is that it does not have a manual safety, so you don't have to consciously think about deactivating such a device during a deadly encounter. This is the ultimate aim and shoot gun. With 50% fewer parts compared to conventional handguns of the same caliber, there are fewer parts to break and you can literally take the gun apart and put it back together in seconds. The frame is made of synthetic polymer, which is actually stronger than steel, yet 86% lighter and virtually indestructible. Withstands temperatures from -40F to +158F and still fires. The built-in accessory rail is an added advantage for quick connection of lasers and/or lights in poor visibility conditions. The ergonomic grip angle is designed to allow the shooter to quickly use the pistol in tight fire conditions. This series is called "Gen5" and features several noticeable upgrades over its Gen4 predecessors. Most notable are the lack of finger grooves and the addition of a double-sided slider. The gun also features a new nPVD finish that is extremely wear and corrosion resistant. The textured grip allows for a more aggressive grip on the weapon, especially in situations where maximum grip and weapon retention can mean the difference between life and death. An enlarged reversible magazine makes reloading easier. A strong recoil spring slightly reduces recoil and extends the life of the gun. Glock equips the third magazine with Gen4 pistols for additional firepower. The Glock 19X Gen5 has an outstanding ergonomic design with a highly efficient bore-axis weight distribution ratio that ensures controlled shots even during rapid fire. Additionally, the polymer frame provides much softer recoil than most traditional metal frame handguns. The gun weighs just over 21 ounces and the DAO trigger is about 5.5 pounds. Glock 19 Gen5 pistols feature one full capacity 17 round magazine and two extended 19 round magazines. A three-dot tiritum sight is located on top of the slide, is clearly visible, easy to use and relatively easy to follow. The Glock 19X 4.02-inch Glock Marksman barrel provides greater accuracy than previous barrels.
