Glock 19x Reviews - The thing about reviewing the GLOCK is, well, it's like trying to review the air. We all inhale it often and it is always there. This is a common thing that we tend to take for granted until it just doesn't exist for us. Now, I'm not saying that a GLOCK is necessary to sustain all life, but the new 19X is definitely a breath of fresh air.
First, it really helps to understand what the GLOCK 19X is and what it isn't. It's basically a G19 chip on a G17 frame. But something interesting happened earlier this year when it was announced and released.
Glock 19x Reviews
I've seen pictures of real guns submitted to the Army's Modular Pistol Systems competition. I thought the GLOCK entry was really cool and a departure from what they had to offer. I of course wanted to get my hands on one and figured they would eventually offer their version to the general public. I am not wrong.

If you've been living under a rock for the past year or so, I have news for you: GLOCK lost MHS's bid for the P320 XM17/18 SIG SAUER variant and chaos reigned all over forums and weapons publications.
Did the military choose the wrong P320 as their new service rifle? Some seem to think so, others not. Surprisingly, the GLOCK variant, which is now known as the GLOCK 19X, did not have a very good reception when it was released to the civilian market a few months ago.
I brushed off the negative voices and was determined to go with the 19X, mostly because it's a really cool gun and offers some of the features I'd love to see in a full-size gun. To my surprise, the internet population in general and others in gun culture are not happy about that.
I think the 19X has a lot of potential, but my opinion doesn't seem to be being heard. I spoke to a lot of friends and colleagues in my professional media circles and they liked the idea of releasing a military variant to the public. So what's wrong?
First Review: Glock 19x Crossover 9mm Pistol
What I've found by talking to a lot of people is that consumers are deciding that, with the 19X, GLOCK released an unnecessary gun. They'd rather see the G17 on the G19 frame. Or even a G19 slide with a G26 frame. The idea is that shorter grip and longer sight radius are better for concealed carry.
I don't agree with this concept because I like short barrels and short grips, but that's just me. The thing I've heard time and time again about the 19X is that the GLOCK doesn't listen to consumers, but that's wrong. The people wanted the MHS pistol, and now there is one. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If they don't release 19X, people in the forums and comment section will cry about it too.
So, let's continue the review. In the weeks I owned the 19X I did over 2,000 spins. I don't know what some YouTube dorks did with this gun in the early days to fix it (maybe to generate more views on their videos with some artificial controversy) because this thing works exactly like the 'GLOCK always looks. I have no issues to speak of in terms of reliability.
I shot everything from cheap balls to top-shelf Lehigh Defense loads and had absolutely no misses. I remember when the gun first came out it was supposed to be plagued with a stop and I didn't see any of that. In fact, it's so reliable that my tests were nearly tedious.

I haven't cleaned the gun at all in 2,000 rounds. I didn't mess up the sights, swap the triggers, or even bother taking it apart to remove the copper colored grease. I just grabbed the gun, brought it into range and started honking steel.
One of the 19X's features is the new Marksman Barrel GLOCK. The barrel has a different rifling from the GLOCK that is normally used in their pistols. This upgraded polygon rifle is a marked improvement over the old style and I noticed that the 19X displayed great accuracy for a polymer frame rifle.
Part of that accuracy is also due to the upgraded Gen5 19X trigger that GLOCKophiles love. GLOCK triggers have always been the weak point of their pistols. Usable, but certainly nothing to write home about. They created a market for Ghost Triggers.
But with the changes GLOCK has made to nearly every aspect of the trigger assembly (trigger rod, piston, spring assembly, and lock block), the Gen5 GLOCK trigger is a breath of fresh air and a major improvement over previous models. They may not quite beat Ghost Triggers, but they're a big step up from the old flaccid "buds" that so many shooters have known and held back.
The New Glock 19x
I've fired thousands of rounds through this gun as I mentioned before, but I haven't logged or measured accuracy across all loads. The data here was recorded on my Oehler 35P chronograph at five feet from the muzzle at 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Accuracy in inches at 25 yards, four-group five-shot average.
The barrel is, at least for me, a very significant improvement over the older option. I've always found the barrel and accuracy to be something that could be improved with the many GLOCK pistols I've owned in the past. That increased accuracy is a huge plus as I don't have to rush to spot or anticipate stray holes in my target.
Next, the 19X's most visually striking feature is the color scheme. The nPVD coated slides are the first color slides to be offered by GLOCK from the factory. The finish held up really well and showed no signs of wear even when I used the polymer sheath.
The frame features a few things that are different from Gen 5 pistols. The 19X is primarily part of the Gen 5 family, but not a full member due to some differences in the frame. It doesn't have the flaming magazine found so well on other Gen 5 guns, but does add a unique lanyard loop and flared finger rests on the front near where your little finger will rest. Other than these features, the handle has no finger indentations, which is an improvement in itself.

Regarding the grip, it was the subject of much controversy. The full-size grip fills my hand nicely and allows me to have a more relaxed grip compared to the standard G19. People like me with bigger hands feel we're being squeezed by the grip in most cases, but not here.
Another set of features that I found very welcome on this rifle are its night sights and dual slide stops. Both come standard and are very functional. The unseen features are on the slide. The gun has a marine spring cup which allows water to flow around the firing pin assembly. It's a minor addition, but for the avid outsider like myself, it brings peace of mind when near rivers and open water.
Finally, the 19X ships with three magazines, one 17-rounder and two 19-rounders. I usually leave the 17 rounders in the rifle and keep the others in reserve. I don't know many people who would take a full capacity 19+1, but it's available if you want.
The GLOCK 19X is a very solid, very reliable and accurate rifle that is somewhat unique on the market today. I hope GLOCK continues to push the boundaries of its design and make more guns like the 19X. I'd love to see a 19 frame with 26 barrels and a slide. Despite the controversy surrounding 19X in recent months, there's a good chance that 19X will make you and your security very happy. No gun on the market offers as many unique and functional features as 19X. It may not look like your classic GLOCK, but it shoots a lot better.
Glock 19x Co2 6mm Pistol (co2 Powered)
This is by far the most accurate out-of-the-box GLOCK I've ever shot, and I've shot most of them. The Sniper's barrel is a significant improvement.
While it's an improvement over the previous generation, it's still a GLOCK and I still didn't like the backstrap system to adjust grip size. Overall, in my big hands this is a very comfortable weapon to shoot and handle like a champ.
I'd probably catch a comment, but the 19X shoots well, handles well, and even looks good. And that third magazine is a definite plus. Glock 19X Review: What Makes This 9mm So Special – Glock's first crossover pistol, the Glock 19X, is a model worthy of your hard earned money.
When I first heard about this gun, I was curious about what made it so different from other firearms.
